How we handle your personal information.
Plain language, on purpose. If anything here is unclear, ask us before you register.
Who we are
Home-Based Jobs PH is the talent pool of a Canadian company that builds a home-based team of payroll assistants in the Philippines. For this notice, we are the personal information controller. Our full legal name and registered address will be published on this page before our first team starts.
What we collect
Only what you type into the registration form:
- Your name, email address, mobile number, and city or province.
- Your degree, CPA licence status, years of experience, current work status, and the payroll system you know best.
- Your availability: hours per week and preferred evening window.
- Your home internet situation, and a LinkedIn profile link if you choose to give one.
- Your answer to the privacy consent question, with the date and time you submitted the form.
We do not ask for government IDs, TIN, SSS, PhilHealth or Pag-IBIG numbers, bank details, or a photo of you at registration. Those are requested only after a written offer, through a secure onboarding process.
Why we collect it
- To assess whether you're a fit for home-based payroll roles with us.
- To contact you about the next steps: the skills check, an interview, training, and roles as they open.
- To keep you in our talent pool so we can reach you when a suitable role opens.
- To measure how people find us, so our advertising reaches the right accountants.
Our legal basis
Your consent, given when you choose "I agree" on the registration form. You can withdraw it at any time; see "Your rights" below.
How long we keep it
Up to 24 months from your registration or your last contact with us, whichever is later. After that we delete your record unless you ask us to keep it. If you join our team, your information moves to our team records and is kept under the terms of your engagement.
Who can see it
- Our recruiting and payroll leads in Canada.
- The service providers that run our website, forms, email, and video calls, who process it only on our instructions.
- No one else. We do not sell, rent, or pass your details to other employers, agencies, or job boards.
Where it is stored
On the systems of our website and email providers, and on our own systems in Canada. Because we are a Canadian company, your information is transferred outside the Philippines. We protect it with access controls and keep it only as long as this notice says.
Cookies and advertising measurement
This site uses cookies for the registration form to work and, where you allow it, measurement tools from Meta (Facebook and Instagram) so we can tell which of our ads brought you here. You can decline non-essential cookies in the cookie notice on this site.
Your rights
Under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 you can:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you and get a copy.
- Ask us to correct anything that's wrong.
- Withdraw your consent and ask us to delete your record.
- Object to how we use your information, and complain to the National Privacy Commission if you believe we've handled it badly.
To exercise any of these, reply to any message you have received from us, or write to our privacy contact at the address we publish on this page before our first team starts. We answer within 15 working days.
Changes to this notice
If we change it, we update the date at the top and, for anything significant, we email everyone in the talent pool.
